100 Places to Hear Live Music in Alabama |

Montgomery, Ala. — More than 200 live music venues and 17 attractions are listed in the tourism brochure, “100 places to hear live music in Alabama." The publication was unveiled during the Year of Alabama Music press conference at the Jazz Hall of Fame in Birmingham.
Some of the venues listed in the brochure include Birmingham’s Old Car Heaven, Bottletree and Ona’s Music Room, Anniston’s Peerless Saloon, Little Willie’s in Tuscaloosa, The Hangout and Lulu’s in Gulf Shores, Veets and Dahlia’s Electric Piano Hall in Mobile, Tuscumbia’s Rattlesnake Saloon, On the Rocks in Florence and the Alley Bar in Montgomery.
The Alabama Jazz Hall of Fame, Dothan’s Music Murals, the Alabama Fan Club and Museum, the Hank Williams Museum, the Commodores Studio, Fame Recording Studios, Alabama Blues Project, and Nat King Cole’s Home are all music attractions listed in the brochure.
The brochure is the third in a series of popular tourism information guides. In 2005 the popular “100 Dishes to eat in Alabama before you die” was first printed, followed by “100 Outdoor Adventures in Alabama” in 2006.
