Alabama Book Festival is seeking volunteers

The Alabama Book Festival, which brings in more than 40 authors and 5,000 participants, each year, is seeking volunteers for the 2011 festival, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. April 16 at Old Alabama Town in downtown Montgomery.

 

The festival relies on volunteers the to help with set-up, greeting, assisting authors and participants and much more. According to the festival’s organizers, it take 150-plus volunteers to make this day successful.
 

Volunteers need to be at least 16 years old and commit to a two-hour time slot during the day. Of course, volunteers can always help longer if they like. To fill out a volunteer form, go to http://alabamabookfestival.org/volunteers.html.
