CONTACT: FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE More than 500 members of the Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.) from around the world are expected to converge on Southern Alabama for our 2010 Alabama State Rally theme named Sweet Home Alabama, Southern Tour. This is a rolling rally beginning May 13th at Harley-Davidson of Dothan, rolling on to Harley-Davidson of Montgomery on May 14 and ending May 15th at Eastern Shore Harley-Davidson, Daphne. This rally focuses on tourist opportunities available in South Alabama, so look for our attendees visiting local points of interest. To encourage the riders to really visit Southern Alabama, they will have a series of observation questions to answer regarding those points of interest along the routes from city to city. Other activities include three levels of games designed to challenge riding skills and/or just plain have fun with their Harley-Davidson motorcycle. We will have entertainment and Harley-Davidson sponsored forums on GPS systems and ride preparation at the Dothan and Montgomery rally sites. Governor Riley is a Harley-Davidson owner and has been invited to participate in the Montgomery activities. Mr. Benny Suggs, General Manager of World Wide Harley Owners Group and Riders Services, will conduct a H.O.G. Town Hall Meeting at Eastern Shore Harley-Davidson, Daphne.
Alabama H.O.G. chapters are sponsored by Alabama Harley-Davidson dealers. The local chapters provide H.O.G. members the opportunity to meet fellow motorcycle enthusiasts as well as participate in chapter sponsored rides. The Harley Owners Group is the largest factory-sponsored motorcycle club in the world consisting of more than one-million members in 1,400 chapters in 135 countries. |
